While your May flowers were blooming a few weeks ago, my husband and I sat down on our avocado colored sofa in our living room. On our brown faux-leather coffee table sat a Tupperware bowl; inside, folded pieces of paper – each with a hand-written name of someone who responded to the last blog – waited patiently to be drawn.
Mike reached in, stirred the papers, then picked one. He slowly opened the paper to reveal this name:
I messaged Brenda to share the good news with her; I also asked her to tell us a bit about herself. Here’s her reply:
I am a wife, mother of two, and grandmother of one and I rely heavily on God’s Word to help me be salt and light working as a retail pharmacist. At Radiant Life Church (Dublin, Ohio) I serve on the missions prayer team and am passionate about following and praying for our missionaries. I signed up for the book drawing because I wanted to be encouraged by the stories of others. Thanks for the book.”
Congratulations, Brenda! I know you will be stirred by the many beautiful and heartfelt essays and poems!
