Today, Jesus is praying for you.
This exact moment, as your eyes read these words, His eyes behold you, and He is interceding for you, asking on your behalf. He knows your greatest need, and wants to rescue you, plead your case, restore you, and claim justice for you.
Do you know your greatest need? It is to make peace with God. You’re in way over your head with this one. Nothing you do can or will ever make it right. Saying He doesn’t exist won’t change the truth. Being good and helping others has its temporary benefits, but doesn’t reconcile you to your Creator. Talking to your idols is futile (they can’t hear you).
That’s why Jesus is asking on your behalf. He’s standing between you and God, with a life or death invitation. He is the only one qualified to represent you, me, or anyone else, in God’s court of eternal law.
He bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.
Consequently, he is able to save completely and perfectly those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
It’s time to accept His invitation. Freedom, justice, and restoration is what Christ offers on your behalf, today. He’s watching, and waiting. How will you respond?
